Just got in on this thread...but really, what's wrong with THAT rosette? Looks a little dirty at the bottom from glue, but that'll sand up.

I think it looks great.

Thanks      I'm much happier even this morning. And a little
embarrassed by being so unhappy with it (but not totally embarrassed -
it's part of the indecisive fun). There's been a tragedy down at the
bottom, so I'm glad it's still a bit gluey. Some glue seaped between the
koa and black line and pushed the black out and away a tad.
